Manic Monday

A good concept to think about is that of emotional capital and building into your week. There is nothing more defeating than jumping in guns blazing on Monday morning only to have a big losing day. For beginner traders, it’s almost impossible to will yourself into the correct mindset to trade properly the rest of the week. This is why we like to build into the week.

We build in by being cautious on Monday morning, scaling down size and scaling down the number of trades. Our goal for Monday is first to have a green day, and second add a little starter cash to the pot to build upon throughout the week. Thinking back to Mondays where have we killed it, 8 out 10 we ended up giving too much back because that put us in the mindset of another big day. For the beginner, it’s so much healthier to save up your emotional capital and ease into Monday, building yourself into a great trading week.
