When a set back, loss, or other event happens the first thought should be to make friends with the feeling. Accept it and don’t fight it. This is the time to learn and grow.
Always remember bad things will happen but it can’t hurt you. Accept the feeling of shame, regret, or even rage and make friends with it. Imagine your level of emotions as you walk on stage to speak in front of a 1000 people. You know the feeling is coming and your instinct is to hide or try to control it. Do the opposite and make friends with that feeling.
Now imagine all the emotions trading can inflict on you. You know they are coming. They can’t hurt you! Make friends with them and use them to learn and grow. You can’t control emotions. You can only embrace them and continue to flow.
