Our contention is and always will be that in a profession ruled by numbers any Guru should respect this and show the numbers. And no, we don’t mean their P&L! Are you buying their P&L? No, you are buying knowledge that should have a quantifiable success rate. Look around and start to see the reality of this training market. You won’t see a single guru offering success rates. We don’t know about you but if we said we knew how to teach success then we damn well could show the success. The fact of the matter is that most of these people are not educators, they have zero professional training or understanding of what teaching is. They are instructors, not teachers. Instructions can’t make people into successful traders. Think about it. If this were possible, there would be no market to trade.
If you see a Guru whose foundation is technical analysis then run. They are a fake Guru, a Furu. Trading is first and foremost about the collective mindset of the participates. When you have understood this, technical analysis has meaning. Racecar drivers understand that the motor runs on gas and that the motor powers the vehicle. This almost sounds ridiculous but in trading, the beginner doesn’t even understand that the gas exists. Don’t fool yourself into believing you understand. There are levels to this game and it starts with the basics. Everyone should start by asking, what the hell is the fuel?
If we were to tell people how to learn trading, it would go like this.
